At Basera, we adapt a blend of traditional and modern concepts of child upbringing without compromising respect for the child’s culture, community or religion. We strive to provide a loving and nurturing environment in our villages helping residents build positive emotions, grow resilience and develop the skills necessary to build a successful and meaningful life.

The Family units at Basera where small groups of girls are placed under the care of Mothers ensures that they experience.

Housing groups of girls in independent units under the care of Mothers enables them to experience family life. We encourage them to be a part of the outside community and  help them gain adequate skills so that they may one day return as able, confident and contributing citizens of the society.
